my virtual trading

i took leave for 2 days.
i woke up early just to play the virtual trading.
unlike last time, even the sun came out to play, i ll still be sleeping.
m excited and could think over the night on what to trade.
study which stock is a good buy at night.
hehe.

given rm100k, i only bought 2k of CIMB and few other counters.
dad said "i thought u bought 10k! only 2k, insignificant".
even though its just a virtual trading game, i m still cautious.
maybe i wanna be risk adverse so that he wont laugh at me when the stock portfolio shows losses.
sigh.

---------------------------------------------------------------
other than that virtual trading, i have been going out and stay in and go out and stay in bla bla bla.
as i was watching my hk series at 230pm, i got a call regarding an interview.

caller :: can u come tmw?
me :: i cant (... cant take leave since i took for 2 days)
caller :: hmm
me :: do u work on sat?
caller :: obviously no. can u come next wk?
me :: what time.
caller :: 11am
me :: what about lunch time?
caller :: i need to eat.
me :: ok. today.
caller :: today? are u sure?
me :: yes, today anytime.
caller :: 5pm.

so tada.. and i made a mistake in the interview

interviewer aka caller :: do u know financial ratio?
me :: yes i do.
interviewer :: so what kinda ratio do researcher see report.
me :: EPS, dividend yeild.
interviewer :: then
me :: asset ratio.
interviewer :: huh?
me :: izzit asset ratio
interviewer :: i m asking u and u r asking me?
me :: ooh quick ratio.

interviewer :: for high growth company, wanna give dividend but cant. what do they give
me :: right issue
interviewer :: huh?
me :: izzit right issue
interviewer tak nak layan me.

called a fren to ask for d answer. its bonus issue, not right issue.
i felt stupid.
right issue always appear in my mind at the moment coz i have a stock to take care of and its about right issue.

i will always remember bonus issue for life now.

*buat malu sahaja*

i feel that getting an interview for a job in investment industry is tiring.
gotta read up on the current issue in the newspaper.
half of d paper is related to investment and economy.
i took the business page and read it up in the train on the way for d interview.
and for all the interviews i have attended, gotta write an essay or do a small test.
essay title that i got last year in job application is "what do u think bout the current economy?"

today i had to choose between these 2 titles.
1. what makes the financial crisis?
*seriously all i know is that lehman brothers and never interested to read about them, even the fall of enron also i didnt read.*

2. do you think KLCI will be 1400 or 900 points by year end and why?

i opted for the later one as its easier and last week i flipped in the newspaper that many research houses predict it ll b above 1400. and 1400 and 900 range is significant and easier to justify. if ask me 1200 or 1400, obviously way too difficult to write.

never mind if i didnt get thru. i learnt an expensive answer ie bonus issue, not right issue as i have said and i really felt embarassed.
